Well, you can tell I'm officially back in the working world again. Sorry for the delay of posts. I still have a ton of pictures to post and blogs to write. Welcome to my world of always being behind on things during the school year!!!
We took our first "family of three" trip to the state fair. Many of you know that the state fair is a must see every summer for me. I usually go at least three times. Once for The Nadas, once with my parents, and once to see my cousin dance, and once just to go. This year, it was MUCH different. Due to the circumstances of having a 9 1/2 month old child, our scenary (and beverages) were much different. We loved every minute of it though and wouldn't change our new itinerary for the world. There is just something about seeing your baby's face when he sees baby chicks. I can't wait to take Jakson on the BIG SLIDE and to Little Hands on the Farm next year!!!! So much fun to have!!! Enjoy the pics!

Galena
The first weekend in August The Pekareks headed to Galena, IL for a little golfing, shopping, relaxing, and bonding. For some reason taking pictures wasn't my top priority, but we did have lots of fun. As soon as we arrived the boys played their first round of golf while the girls went shopping in the historic downtown district of Galena. The Resort we stayed at, Eagle Ridge was a sight in itself. It is located in the beautiful Mississippi River Valley. If you haven't been there,it is a must see. It is definitely the heart of the midwest with rolling green hills, red barns, and silos as far as the eye can see. I couldn't get enough of the views! Maybe I'm just a true Iowa girl and just really appreciate where I come from! We stayed in a beautiful house (I wish I would have taken a picture). Although the house was beautiful and seemed very pristine, mom and Brett managed to find a few friendly critters crawling around AND Mom and Dad managed to bring two home with them. I hate cockroaches...
This is picture is a classic Jakson picture. Always entertaining us in some way or form. He's definitely his father's child.
Cuddling with Daddy after a day of golf!

WAY behind on blogging...
So I guess you can tell I have actually been busy. Now that I am back to work, this may be difficult for me to post regular blogs. My main focus when I get home from work is to be with my baby boy, so I will have to blog when he goes to bed. I have A LOT to catch up on and will be posting new pics and even a CRAWLING video. Time flies. They really do grow up fast!
