We Have a Walker!!!!
I feel so proud to say that our baby boy little man is officially walking! On December 1, I was dressing him in his room and he took a few steps toward his bed. All day at daycare he walked around. Then, the following day and week, he had NOTHING to do with it! It's kind of funny as he chose crawling to be his main source of transportation. So cute! Finally on Dec. 14, two weeks later, he started walking once again, and this time he's kept up with it. He loves to walk around the house and he especially loves to chase Izzy around and cuddle with her. I'm not so sure yet if she really loves this new little mobile man that keeps invading her space. She's a good sport and takes the beatings well, but every once in a while, Jakson walks toward her and she jets for the door. I think in a few months, she'll be used to it. :)

Pictures from the last month
We saved one present for Jakson to open up on his official birthday. He absolutley LOVES cars and trucks and loves to make this odd sound with his mouth while he's playing with them! It's too cute!
Making the sound!
Soooo big! This was his birthday meal. Easy mac maybe? Pretty classy meal if you ask me.
Jakson got an extra special birthday kiss from one of the kids at daycare. Jakson has a preferred truck he plays with at Colleen's house and took it away from one of the kiddos there. As a result, Jakson got this birthday bite. It was the first time I have experienced something like this so I didn't really know what emotion to express. I felt terrible knowing that it probably didn't feel good getting...it's definitley an A+ of a bite. There's teeth marks and all, but it didn't break the skin. Thank goodness for photoshop. We had Jakson's one year pics taken three days later and the bite was still there.
Here's my boys watching tv. Oh yea, and George and Piggy too!
Picking out our Christmas tree. Doesn't Jakson look enthused?

Well...it's official. We no longer have a baby anymore. Last Sunday afternoon we had Jakson's one year birthday party. It was such a fun day and Brett and I were grinning ear to ear the whole day. It was such a blessing to be able to share our joy with our families. Jakson had sooo much fun opening his gifts and eating cake. He was quite the character that day. It's amazing what characteristics a few new toys will bring out too. He was driving his new cars/trucks around making truck noises and he figured out how to rock the rocking horse on his own. Tear...tear. If you thought I was a mess Sunday, you should have seen me on his birthday. I was a happy mess though. Every single time I looked at the clock last Wednesday, I was thinking back to what I was doing one year ago. So, basically most of the day I was recalling my 19 long joyous of labor in the hospital room. :) One year ago today, Brett and I just left the hospital, without Jakson, and started doing our daily trips to the NICU to visit him. We will celebrate his one year of being at home on November 12. What a fun year it has been. I remember EVERYTHING too like it was yesterday. I can't wait for more babies, more parties to host, and more stories to tell.

And we have.....
Ear infection in Jakson's left ear AND 6 (yes, I said 6) teeth coming in at once. Needless to say my "it must be his teeth" excuse that I have been using the last 8 months is finally coming true. No wonder we've had four sleepless nights. Thank you Dr. Willams for your diagnosis and the amazing bubble gum stuff! So long green snot slugs...we're after you!

Costumes with Friends!
Our little group of friends got together with our little ones so they could get one good wear out of their Halloween costumes. From left to right is Tegan the butterfly princess, Mallie the Flapper Girl, Camden as Superman, Ladybug Taylor, Rylee the pumpkin, and the one who ruined most of these pictures....Jakson the turkey!!! Neither Taylor or Jakson were big on sitting still for the pics. It was quite entertaining!!!!!
Take 53...almost
Jakson the Turkey. I couldn't pass up this costume...even if it was $25.

Dear Santa
Dear Santa,
For Christmas I would like a brand spanken new camera...a realexpensive quality one. I think it's the Nikon D60 or something like that. Too bad my husband never reads our blog.
Love,
Allison
P.S. Oh yeah, and I would really like to have a baby sister or brother for Jakson to play with. I have baby fever. My baby's no longer a baby after November 4. Thanks!

Corey and Kiley's Wedding
Jakson had his first hotel/wedding experience for Corey and Kiley's big day!!!! Actually, Jakson only lasted about 10 minutes before he started talking during the quietest Catholic wedding ever. Maybe that was just me thinking that because my child started talking during the ceremony. Needless to say we went and enjoyed the outdoors with cousin Carter Sauce and Uncle Andy. Carter was throwing snowballs outside, yes, snowballs in Omaha in October. Only in Iowa....the wedding was beautiful, the bride was beautiful, and we had an awesome time with friends and family. Enjoy the pics!
